Like all other drug classifications in clinical
psychopharmacology, the term stimulants covers
a range of drugs, with some overlapping actions, that may be useful in
treating some disorders, syndromes, or symptoms (Table 8–1).
Here, as elsewhere, we lack a tidy one-to-one correlation of drug efficacy
and syndrome.
