On Getting Kicked Out of Medical School

Abstract

A group of medical students who had failed were seen in psychotherapy over a five-year period. Preconceptions about failure need re-examination. For a variety of reasons, many students fail because they are desperately trying too hard. Additionally, attention is also focused upon medical school as a rite-de-passage.
