Cluster C personality disorders include avoidant personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), and dependent personality disorder (DPD) in DSM-IV-TR (American Psychiatric Association 2000), which generally have less impairment than Cluster A and B personality disorders. Arguably, two personality disorders in the DSM-IV-TR Appendix, depressive and passive-aggressive, as well as one in Appendix B of DSM-III-R (American Psychiatric Association 1987), self-defeating, could also be included, but they are mentioned only in passing in this chapter.
