HAPA to Meet in San Francisco

The Hellenic American Psychiatric Association (HAPA) will hold its 14th annual meeting in conjunction with APA’s 2013 annual meeting in San Francisco. It will take place on Tuesday, May 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.
The meeting will feature two special presentations: “The Women's Mental Health Clinic at Eginition Hospital, Athens, Greece: The First 10 Years” by Iannis Zervas, M.D., an associate professor of psychiatry at Athens University Medical School and chief of the Women's Mental Health and Perinatal Psychiatry Clinic at Eginition Hospital; and “Improving the Quality of Medical Education Worldwide: The Contributions of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER)” by Emmanuel Cassimatis, M.D., president and CEO of the ECFMG and chair of the Board of Directors of FAIMER.
A Dutch treat dinner at a local restaurant will follow the meeting. Those interested in attending the meeting and dinner must register and pay dues—$52 for members and $25 for members-in-training. Dues should be mailed to Maria T. Lymberis, M.D., 1500 Montana Avenue, #201, Santa Monica, Calif. 90403. More information is available by e-mailing Lymberis at [email protected]. ■
