Assembly Approves 2017 Candidates

The Assembly voted to accept the report of the Assembly Nominating Committee with a slate of candidates for the May 2017 Assembly election.
Competing for speaker-elect are James R. Batterson, M.D., Area 4 representative and recorder of the Assembly, and James Polo, M.D., a representative from the Washington State Psychiatric Association.
The candidates for recorder are Steven Daviss, M.D., a representative from the Maryland Psychiatric Society, and Paul O’Leary, M.D., a representative from the Alabama Psychiatric Association.
The election will be held during the Assembly’s May meeting, held in conjunction with APA’s 2017 Annual Meeting in San Diego. ■
