Here are just some of the Annual Meeting highlights and general information that will help you get the most out of your experience at the meeting.
Opening Session and Special Lecture: Sunday, May 21, 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Opening ceremonies will be followed by a special lecture by best-selling author and journalist Susannah Cahalan (Exhibit Hall F, Ground Level, San Diego Convention Center)
Convocation of Distinguished Fellows: Monday, May 22, 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. The session includes the induction of distinguished fellows and introduction of distinguished life fellows; fellows and life fellows; 50-year distinguished life fellows, life fellows, and life members; international distinguished fellows and fellows; presentation of awards; and the presentation of the William C. Menninger Memorial Convocation Lecture by Elizabeth Vargas followed by an interview by Nora D. Volkow, M.D., director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (Exhibit Hall F, Ground Level, San Diego Convention Center)
Registration at San Diego Convention Center: Friday, May 19, noon-6 p.m.; Saturday-Tuesday, May 20-23, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. (Exhibit Halls A-C, Ground Level, San Diego Convention Center) Wednesday, May 24, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. (Exhibit Hall C, Lobby, Ground Level, San Diego Convention Center)
Courses/Master Courses: Saturday-Tuesday, May 20-23, 8 a.m.-noon, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Exceptions: there will be no afternoon courses on Sunday. The “Essential Psychopharmacology” master course on Tuesday, May 23, and the “Buprenorphine and Office-Based Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder” course on Saturday, May 20, will be held 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (San Diego Convention Center )

MindGames: Tuesday, May 23, 5:15 p.m.-6:15 p.m. (Ballroom 6D-E, Upper Level, San Diego Convention Center)
Shuttle Busing: Starts each day with pick up at designated hotels: Saturday-Wednesday, May 20-24., 7 a.m. Last departure from the San Diego Convention Center: Saturday, May 20, 5:30 p.m.; Sunday-Monday, May 21-22, 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday-Wednesday, May 23-24, 5:30 p.m.■
