Abstract

Notions that women generally hold negative views of other women and demonstrate their poor opinions behaviorally by not assisting or promoting the careers of other women are specious. Where nonassistance can be located as a pattern at all, it is generally due to women’s relative lack of power in the structure of which they are a part, or due to personality differences which are not gender specific.
