Psychotherapy with Schizophrenics in Team Groups: A Systems Model

Abstract

Treating schizophrenic patients in a heterogeneous group in the inpatient setting poses numerous challenges. The author describes a developmental model based on systems theory to understand the dynamics of the inpatient group. Problems in working with schizophrenics in this setting are understood against this backdrop.
