More HIPAA Help

As a service to members, APA has created an electronic bulletin board where members can ask questions about HIPAA, view questions asked by their colleagues, and read the answers prepared by consultants with HIPAA expertise.
To access the HIPAA electronic bulletin board, click on the “Members Corner” link in the top right corner of the homepage of APA’s web site at www.psych.org. Then log in with your username and password. (You need your member number to register. If you don’t have it, contact the APA Answer Center at [888] 35-PSYCH.) Once you are logged in, you will see two links in the top right corner under “HIPAA Question and Answer”: “Ask a HIPAA Question” and “View the HIPAA Bulletin Board.”
Also available at this site are APA’s HIPAA Educational Packet with sample forms and HIPAA training materials that members can use for staff training. ▪
