Submissions Invited

APA invites submissions for its 2004 annual meeting, which is being held in New York City May 1 to 6. The theme of the meeting, selected by incoming APA President Marcia Goin, M.D., is “Psychotherapy and Psychopharmacology: Dissolving the Mind-Brain Barrier.”
The deadline for submissions is determined by format: Submissions for industry-supported symposia are due June 2; courses, reports, symposia, and issue workshops, September 3; component workshops, September 17; and new research, December 5. Incomplete or incorrect forms will not be considered.
APA members who would like to volunteer to chair a session are asked to send a letter to the chair of the Scientific Program Committee, Geetha Jayaram, M.D., at APA, Suite 1825, 1000 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Va. 22209. The following information should be included: name, address, area of expertise, and the type of session to chair. Many more requests are received than the number of slots available. Those selected to be a chair will be notified by the end of November.
Submission forms for the 2004 annual meeting may be accessed at APA’s Web site at www.psych.org by clicking on the 2004 annual meeting logo and then “Submission Forms.” They may also be obtained by calling the APA Answer Center at (888) 357-7924.
