Exhibit Hall Attractions Include Coffee, Prizes

Connecting Cambridge and downtown Boston, the recently opened Leonard P. Zakim/Bunker Hill Bridge is an admired addition to the Boston landscape. The obelisk-topped tower echoes the Bunker Hill Monument on the other side of the bridge. The other half of the bridge’s name is a memorial to Lenny Zakim, the regional director of the Anti-Defamation League before his death at age 46 in 1998. If you are looking for a meeting to earn high-quality CME in a perfect location to enjoy autumn weather, APA has the answer for you: its Institute on Psychiatric Services will be held this year in Boston from October 29 to November 2. The theme is “Access to Integrated Mental Health Care.”
The institute is an informal, practical, and clinically focused multidisciplinary meeting offering attendees excellent educational sessions and the opportunity to network with colleagues, both nationally and internationally.
The central gathering point for the meeting will be University Hall on the third floor of the Marriott Copley Place Hotel, where the exhibits will be housed.
The Exhibit Hall will be the site of morning coffee breaks and afternoon receptions. Commercial and educational exhibitors will be available to provide information on many products—ranging from computer software and books to medications—as well as services for psychiatrists and mental health professionals. Meeting goers will also find two important APA features on hand: The APA Resource Center and APA Job Bank.
Registrants will have opportunities to win prizes at both morning and afternoon drawings. Prizes this year will include a notebook computer, Palm Pilot, personal copy machine, fax machine, cordless phone, DVD player, digital camera, video camera, stereo, free registration for the 2004 annual meeting in New York, free registration for the 2004 Institute on Psychiatric Services in Atlanta, two nights’ lodging at the Atlanta Hilton during the 2004 Institute on Psychiatric Services, dinner for two, and two roundtrip domestic airline tickets.
The exhibits will open at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, and close at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, November 1.
