Institute Format Fosters Interaction With Experts

With the oppressive heat of summer now upon us in many parts of the country, let's look ahead to the fall and make plans to attend APA's 2004 Institute on Psychiatric Services. This year's institute will be held in the Athens of the South—Atlanta—from October 6 to 10.
APA members should prepare themselves for some fine Southern hospitality when they come to Atlanta in the fall for APA's 2004 Institute on Psychiatric Services.
One of the institute's highlights is the clinical discussion groups. This format allows for a small group of registrants to interact with experts on specific clinical topics. This year's topics span the gamut from injectable antipsychotics to forging relationships with our patients (see box). After making a few introductory remarks, the experts will tailor the discussion according to the needs of the group.
I hope that topics listed below and the excellent faculty who have been invited to lead the discussions will serve your needs and encourage you to register now for institute. ▪
APA's fall meeting, the Institute on Psychiatric Services, is being held in Atlanta from October 6 to 10. Above is a view of the Atlanta Olympic Park fountain. More information on the institute appears on pages 12 and 13; a complete program begins on page 33.
