Winners of Drawing Announced

There are many good reasons to join APA, but the Association added something extra for those who signed up during APA's 2004 annual meeting in New York City in May. Psychiatrists who handed in their application forms during the meeting were entered into a prize drawing for a gift certificate from American Psychiatric Publishing Inc.
The prize was based on membership category: general members were eligible for a $1,000 gift certificate; members-in-training, a $500 gift certificate; international members, a $500 gift certificate; and medical students, a $250 gift certificate.
These were the winners:
General member: Silvio Saidemberg, M.D., Binghamton, N.Y.
Member-in-training: Jill Maddox, M.D., Bronx, N.Y.
International member: Bernardino Vicente, M.D., Manualuyong City, Philippines Medical student: Jessica B McCoy, Philadelphia, Pa.
As result of the recruitment activity in the APA Membership Booth in the Exhibit Hall, APA is processing applications from 96 psychiatrists. The booth also handled 109 member transfers and requests for follow-up material.▪
