Atlanta Ready to Join Top Restaurant Towns

If you don't associate Atlanta with fine eating, some pleasant surprises await you while attending APA's 2004 Institute on Psychiatric Services.“ In the last decade or so, the dining scene has exploded,” says the eighth edition of Frommer's Atlanta, “and Atlanta has emerged as a sophisticated restaurant town where establishments have veered away from uninventive American fare and unauthentic down-home Southern cooking.”
To pare down the choices for you, Steven Stout, M.D., a psychiatry resident at Emory University, shares his favorites. His list includes restaurants that are respectful of your wallet as well as some top-of-the-line splurges. More information on many of these and other restaurants is posted on the Web at<www.atlantarestaurants.com>.
