How to Get Tickets

Theater tickets can be purchased through a number of Web sites; to find them, search on “New York theater tickets.” Discount tickets purchased online or coupons to purchase discount tickets elsewhere are available for some shows at www.nytheatre.com/nytheatre/vc.htm.
For shows not already sold out, discount tickets may be purchased on the day of performance at a famous New York landmark: The TKTS booth at Duffy Square, the center island of 47th Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue. TKTS sells unsold tickets on the day of performance for 25 percent to 50 percent off the box-office price and a $2.50 service charge per ticket. Note that only cash and traveler’s cheques are accepted. A new downtown TKTS location is near the South Street Seaport at the corner of John and Front streets.
