KEY LAWMAKER GETS APAPAC HELP

Vivian Pender, M.D., meets with Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) at a recent event in New York City held by APA's political action committee, APAPAC. Pender is treasurer of APAPAC, and Rangel is the ranking minority member on the House Ways and Means Committee. The meeting is part of an ongoing APA program in which members, through APA-PAC, educate federal legislators and policymakers about mental health issues.
