Abstracts Invited

Abstract submissions are now being sought for the second World Conference on Expanding Paradigms: Science, Consciousness, and Spirituality, to be held in New Delhi, India, on February 24 and 25, 2006. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), based in New Delhi, is the sponsor.
The conference aims to present the latest scientific advances in the field related to ancient knowledge on such practices as yoga, meditation, and Pranayam and Sudarshan Kriya (rhythmic breathing process).
A number of academic departments at AIIMS have collaborated on research demonstrating the effects of yoga practices on the brain, antioxidant defense system, immune system, hormonal parameters, and heart-rate variability in healthy individuals, as well as in cancer patients.
The deadline for submissions is November 15. Submission guidelines may be obtained by contacting Manisha Bhutani by e-mail at [email protected]. Conference registration is required before an abstract is accepted.
