Royal College to Meet In Glasgow

The annual meeting of the Royal College of Psychiatrists will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 10 to 13. The meeting includes a variety of panels that will meet throughout the four days, along with a full schedule of social, cultural and recreational activities.
APA members are eligible to attend for the same registration fee that is available to members of the Royal College. Registration can be on a daily basis or for the entire conference.
Last year the Royal College invited APA President Steven Sharfstein, M.D., to attend as a VIP guest. Pedro Ruiz, M.D., who will be APA president at the time of this year's meeting, has received the same invitation and will be part of a delegation with Sharfstein and James H. Scully Jr., M.D., APA's medical director, to meet with Prof. Sheila Hollins, president of the Royal College, and its leadership.
Glasgow is an exciting, cosmopolitan venue for a major conference and an excellent base for exploring other parts of the United Kingdom, according to Ken Busch, M.D., the Illinois Psychiatric Society representative to the APA Assembly and an international associate of the Royal College.
A draft program of the conference and registration information are posted at<www.rcpsych.ac.uk>.
