Annual Meeting

Member Feedback Helps Shape Future Meetings

Nothing stays the same forever, but be assured that the changes affecting how you can obtain your Cert if icate of Attendance at APA's 2007 annual meeting are minimal.
On site at the meeting, which is being held May 19 to 24 in San Diego, you'll still be able to stop by the Computerized Evaluation Center to complete a short online meeting evaluation survey and receive a personalized certificate of attendance. The center will be located in D Lobby, Ground Level, of the San Diego Convention Center.
If you're running short on time and don't want to stand in line, you can complete the evaluation survey at your own pace at<www.psych.org/survey/am2007.cfm>. The convention center (except for the Exhibit Hall) has free wireless access for attendees. You can also go to this URL at your hotel or at home. To log into the survey, use your six-digit badge number and then print your personalized certificate.
While online, you are encouraged to also evaluate the workshops and the sessions you attended as part of the special National Institute on Drug Abuse track (see page 31). This short evaluation survey will provide APA with valuable feedback to improve future sessions and ensure that the annual meeting is being responsive to your professional needs. The workshop survey site is<www.psych.org/survey/2007workshop.cfm>, and the NIDA track survey site is<www.psych.org/survey/2007nida.cfm>.
What are the 2007 changes? To encourage use of the online general evaluation options, paper forms will not be distributed in registration packets. Likewise, no preprinted certificate of attendance will be included in the syllabus. But paper forms have not been completely phased out; they will be available on site at the APA Member Center and the Computerized Evaluation Center, where a completed form can be submitted in exchange for a blank Certificate of Attendance (no name or hours preprinted).
Whichever format you choose, please be sure to complete the general and short evaluation surveys of APA's 2007 annual meeting. The members of the Scientific Program Committee seek your feedback to help them identify and incorporate new ideas for the 2008 annual meeting. ▪
