EMR Function Checklist

Below is a list of functions that electronic medical record (EMR) systems should have to be fully operational in a health information network. The list was included in a study in Florida published in the Journal of Medical Quality and was derived from a 2003 report by the Institute of Medicine (see Physicians Cite Multiple Roadblocks Hindering EMR Adoption).
