New Blood Needed?

I was delighted to see so many of my old friends nominated to lead APA (see Norris, Oldham Vie to Become President-Elect). But if that is a pleasure for me, it is a problem for our Association. I hope that some of our younger members will seize the opportunity to be petition candidates in our next election. Back in the Cro-Magnon era, I myself ran as a petition candidate for both Area trustee and vice president. Back then I thought APA needed new leadership, and I think we need it now.

ALAN A. STONE, M.D.
 Cambridge, Mass.

Editor's note: The deadline for petition candidates is October 15. More information is available by contacting Ricardo Juarez at [email protected] or (703) 907-8527.
