HAPA to Meet

The Hellenic American Psychiatric Association (HAPA) will hold its 10th anniversary annual meeting in San Francisco in conjunction with APA's 2009 annual meeting next month. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the JW Marriott in Skyline Rooms B/C on the 21st floor.
The featured speakers will be Charles Nemeroff, M.D., Ph.D., whose lecture is titled “Psychopharmacology in the 21st Century: Toward Personalized Medicine in Psychiatry,” and Ioannis Zervas, M.D., whose lecture is titled “On Women's Mental Health at the Athens University: A Person-Centered Approach.” The scientific presentations follow dinner and the annual HAPA business meeting.
These events offer opportunities for psychiatrists from Greece, the United States, and the Greek diaspora to network, exchange ideas, and present their work.
Those interested in attending must pre-register by sending an e-mail immediately to [email protected]. There is a charge for the dinner meeting, payable on site. This charge is in addition to annual dues of $50.
Dues may be mailed to Arthur Papas, M.D., 5 Byron Road, Weston, Mass. More information is available by e-mail to [email protected]. The address of HAPA's Web site, where a membership application can be accessed, is<www.hellenic-psych.org>.
