Meeting in Italy

APA members are invited to attend the 12th Joint Meeting of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry (AAPDP) and the Organizzazione di Psicoanalisti Italiani-Federazione e Registro on October 16 and 17 at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, Italy. The topic of the meeting is “Trauma and Identity: In the Footsteps of Silvano Arieti.”
The AAPDP recently celebrated its 54th anniversary and is the largest national and international organization for psychodynamic psychiatrists and medical psychoanalysts.
Keynote speaker Clarice Kestenbaum, M.D., a past president of AAPDP and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, will present the lecture “Secure Attachments and Traumatic Life Events.” There will be other outstanding speakers from the United States and Europe, with presentations on topics such as trauma and neuroscience, and clinical cases.
A registration form and hotel information can be accessed online at <www.aapdp.org>, by e-mail at [email protected], or by phone at (888) 691-8281. Early registration is urged because space is limited.
