Book Cover Design Wins Award

American Psychiatric Publishing has received considerable recognition over the last several decades for the exceptional content of the books it publishes, but now its honors include one not just for what appears between the covers, but what's on the cover as well.
The cover of the book The Language of Mental Health: A Glossary of Psychiatric Terms has won the Book Publishers 2011 Design and Effectiveness Award: Small/Medium Not-for-Profit Publisher—Typographic Cover. The cover was designed by Tammy Cordova, graphics design manager in American Psychiatric Publishing's book division.
Commenting on Cordova's award, Greg Kuny, managing editor for books, said, "With her exceptional creative talent, Tammy has raised the bar for design in medical publishing while maintaining the highly professional appearance of our products, both books and multimedia content. This award is further confirmation of her invaluable contributions to our publishing program."
