Dates You Should Know

The names of the candidates running for office in APA’s 2013 election were announced after this issue went to press. The list is posted on APA’s Web site at www.psychiatry.org . Here are some important deadlines to keep in mind:
November 15: Deadline for petition candidates.
December 21: Candidates’ photos and Web-site addresses will be published in Psychiatric News.
January 2: Voting begins. All members for whom APA has a valid e-mail address on file will receive an electronic ballot. Other members will receive a paper ballot along with instructions on how to vote online if they so choose. Information on the candidates will be posted online and appear in a booklet accompanying the paper ballot.
January 23: Deadline for ballot requests.
January 31: Voting ends at 5 p.m. (EST).
