Publication: American Journal of Psychiatry

Abstract

Questionnaires were sent to 151 members of the Nassau Neuropsychiatric Society and to 184 members of the Royal Medico-Psychological Association in Scotland regarding attitudes toward psychotherapy and the extent of its use in psychiatric practice. The implications of the results are discussed in terms of the future of psychotherapy in community mental health centers.
