Abstract

The author discusses some of the factors that have affected the population distribution of Alaska Natives, particularly the recent population explosion and the skewing toward youth. Of prime importance is the role played by the government's system of medical care. The author points out the need for examining all aspects of the policies of a medical care system so that a properly balanced program can be provided.
