Abstract

Women of different races and educational backgrounds were compared to determine their utilization of mental health services and their satisfaction with them. As suspected, the distribution of services is uneven, with white women and women who were more educated seeking help from professionals more often than black women and women who were less educated. The least educated women, however, were the most satisfied with the help they received.
