A Young Child Who Witnessed Her Mother’s Murder: Therapeutic and Legal Considerations

Abstract

We call attention to the problems of children who witness parental murder by presenting the treatment of a four-year-old girl. Complex therapeutic and legal dilemmas in such cases require dual roles of the clinician as therapist and as legal advocate for the child.
