Supervised Treatment of an Obsessional Patient by a Psychiatric Resident Utilizing Psychotherapy and Pharmacotherapy

Abstract

The careful scrutiny of the treatment ofan obsessional patient by a psychiatric resident helps to demonstrate the multiplicity offactors involved in clinical care in psychiatry. Some implications of this for research and education are discussed. Emphasized are issues relative to the integration of biologic and psychologic data and concepts, and combined treatment.
