Highlights of the 30th H&CP Institute

Abstract

More than 800 people attended the 30th Institute on Hospital & Community Psychiatry, held September 18-21, 1978, in Kansas City, Missouri. "Quality Amidst Constraints: Creative Use of Limited Resources" was the theme of the meeting, which consisted primarily of small workshop sessions organized along three tracks—the family, programmatic strategies, and administrative concerns. Presented here are summaries of four of the presentations at the plenary sessions; a fifth presentation, by Leon Eisenberg, M.D., was published in the December issue. Planning is already under way for the 31st H&CP Institute, which will be held September 3-6 at the Fairmont Hotel in New Orleans.
