Abstract

In this presentation of contemporary Army psychiatry, the authors evaluate personnel utilization, innovations in residency training, and current research programs in the perspective of current trends in psychiatric practice. They point out that the concepts of preventive and community psychiatry have long-established tenure in military medicine.
