Clinical and Research Implications of Patient-Therapist Interaction in Brief Psychotherapy

Abstract

This paper focuses on transference intetpretations and patient response as examples of change episodes. Clinical vignettes are presented and discussed as to how process research might probe more deeply into mechanisms of change by measuring the quality of process interaction and the context in which change episodes occur.
