American Psychiatric Foundation to Present ‘Conversation With Tipper Gore’

The American Psychiatric Foundation is pleased to announce that Tipper Gore will be the inaugural speaker and guest at the foundation’s new “Conversations” event on May 21, 2002. It will be held in conjunction with APA’s 2002 annual meeting in Philadelphia. Gore is a noted mental health advocate who has worked for years to improve access to care and to reduce the stigma of mental illness.
“A Conversation With Tipper Gore” will be an interactive discussion focusing on a wide range of issues important to psychiatry, as well as her personal experiences with depression. The session will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Philadelphia. Admission is free for all annual meeting registrants.
“A Conversation With Tipper Gore” is made possible through an educational grant from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.
Information on hotel reservations for the annual meeting appears on page 7.
