Future Leaders in Psychiatry Chosen for Fellowships

The APA/GlaxoSmithKline Fellowship program prepares future leaders in the field of psychiatry. Residency programs nominate a single resident who has displayed outstanding leadership qualities in his or her activities, and from this group of nominees, 10 residents are selected for the fellowship.
During the two-year fellowship term the APA/GlaxoSmithKline fellows participate in APA's leadership structure; attend APA's annual meeting and fall component meetings; receive training in leadership, advocacy, and media relations; tour outstanding psychiatry programs; and are mentored by a prominent psychiatrist.
The 2004-2006 APA/GlaxoSmithKline fellows are:
•.
Kent Dunn, M.D., McMaster University
•.
Ellen Edens, M.D., Washington University in St. Louis
•.
Tiffany Farchione, M.D., University of Pittsburgh, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic
•.
Lara Fuchs, M.D., New York University School of Medicine

•.
Roman Snihurowych, M.D., Columbia University
•.
Steven Sugden, M.D., University of California, Davis
•.
