Comments Invited On Guideline Drafts

At press time three APA practice guideline drafts were expected to become available for review this month: Practice Guideline for the Psychiatric Evaluation of Adults, Second Edition; Practice Guideline for the Treatment of Patients With Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementias of Late Life, Second Edition; and Practice Guideline for the Treatment of Patients With Eating Disorders, Third Edition, which is a revision of the second edition published in 2000.
Members of the Assembly, as well as any APA member, are encouraged to view the drafts on APA's Web site at<www.psych.org>. They are posted in Members Corner under the heading “Practice Guideline Drafts for Review by Assembly and Other APA Members.”
The review periods are April 26 through June 6 for psychiatric evaluation, May 23 through July 1 for eating disorders, and May 24 through July 4 for Alzheimer's disease. Final drafts are expected to be presented to the Assembly for action at its November 11-13 meeting.
