Dissociative amnesia (DA) is an inability to recall important auto-biographical information, usually of a traumatic or stressful nature, that is inconsistent with ordinary forgetting. In DSM-5, dissociative fugue (DF) is a subtype of DA (American Psychiatric Association 2013).
