Chapter 13.Conclusion
Excerpt
Becoming solution focused offers both a philosophy and a skill set for helping people move forward in their life. It takes discipline and hard work to notice and listen with the proverbial “third ear,” ask useful questions, provide meaningful and genuine compliments, and co-create conversations so people can draw on their own strengths to help themselves. These conversations help not only the patient but also the clinician, creating hope, confidence, and optimism for all parties involved. These are privileged and extraordinary conversations.
