In this chapter, we apply the axioms, principles, and techniques of trauma-centered psychotherapy to group therapy. We do not presume the use of any particular theoretical orientation or approach to group therapy, but rather provide guidance to group therapists of any kind in integrating a trauma-centered frame into their work. A number of excellent group therapy models are described by other authors (Harris 1998; Klein and Schermer 2000; Lubin and Johnson 2008; Mendelsohn et al. 2011; Ready et al. 2008; Resick and Schnicke 1993).
