In this chapter, we discuss the symptom presentations and assessment methods, relationship to other outcomes, and treatment approaches for mood and anxiety disorders following traumatic brain injury (TBI). Because patients with uncomplicated mild TBI (mTBI), also known as concussion, may present differently or arrive for care in different health service delivery streams, we consider treatments for mTBI separately in portions of the discussion that follow.
