David Hathcox
As APA traveled north of its usual boundaries to host the annual meeting in Toronto this year, it extended a warm welcome to psychiatrists and their guests who came from the four corners of the globe to participate in the premier psychiatric meeting of the year.
The theme of the meeting, “Integrating Body and Mind, Heart and Soul” was reflected in the many sessions that focused on new systems of care delivery, cross-cultural psychiatry, public policy and advocacy, and psychiatry and spirituality, in addition to the hundreds of sessions that provided the most up-todate information on every area of clinical practice.
APA’s next meeting, IPS: The Mental Health Services Conference, will be held October 8 to 11 at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in New York City. ■
