Psychiatric News Wants to Hear From You

During this time of upheaval in the United States, Psychiatric News invites you to share your expertise, observations, or “lessons learned” with colleagues in a news article for possible publication in Psychiatric News, particularly on the topics of COVID-19 and structural racism.
You might also consider sharing personal or professional experiences or insights that were life changing or particularly meaningful to you for a new column that Psychiatric News recently launched called “First Person.” Word limit is 600 words.
Have something else on your mind? Write a letter to the editor or an article for the “Viewpoints” column. Word limit for letters is 350 words; for “Viewpoints,” 600 words.
Do you want to change where you receive Psychiatric News and other APA email? To do so, call the APA Answer Center at (888) 35-PSYCH or change your address on APA’s website. Log in to psychiatry.org, click on your name in the upper right-hand corner, and go to “Member Profile.”
Send your submissions for possible publication or requests for more information to Cathy Brown at [email protected]. We welcome and appreciate your engagement with Psychiatric News. As an APA member, it’s your newspaper!
