It is time for me to write the annual thank you to individuals who contributed reviews to Psychiatric Services in the past 12 months. I want you all to know that I say thank you each day when I log into the system and see how much time and effort reviewers have contributed. Peer review is at the core of our efforts to attract and publish research, reviews, and columns of the highest quality. It may even be the “secret sauce” needed to advance scholarship. Reviews provide our authors with critical guidance to revise and improve their manuscripts; I rely greatly on peer review to guide my decision making. I take nothing for granted. Every review takes precious time and effort.
