MPS Honors Six Members at Annual Meeting

The Massachusetts Psychiatric Society presented its Outstanding Psychiatrist Awards to six psychiatrists at its recent annual meeting. The winners and the categories in which they were recognized for exceptional service were (standing, from left) Peter Metz, M.D., education; Anthony Rothschild, M.D., research; and Leston Havens, M.D., lifetime achievement; (sitting, from left) David Haskell, M.D., public sector; David Henderson, M.D., clinical psychiatry; and Douglas Jacobs, M.D., advancement of the profession.
Another highlight of the meeting was a presentation on the psychology of political terrorism by Jerrold Post, M.D., a psychiatry professor who works with the Department of Homeland Security and the Central Intelligence Agency.
