Suspension

Alen J. Salerian, M.D., of Washington, D.C., has been suspended for two years from APA and the Washington Psychiatric Society. He was found to have violated Section 2.5 of the Principles of Medical Ethics With Annotations Especially Applicable to Psychiatry. The physician breached confidentiality by offering a professional opinion without proper authorization. Publication of suspensions is required by APA's“ Procedures for Handling Complaints of Unethical Conduct.”▪
