Errata

In the June 3 issue, the Med Check article incorrectly noted that generic equivalents are available for the Depakote brand of divalproex sodium. The Depakote brand, made by Abbott Laboratories, is protected by patents until at least January 28, 2008, according to the FDA's Orange Book.
In the June 17 issue, the article “Congress Hears Remedies for Child MH Care Crisis” misidentified Larke Nahme Huang, Ph.D., as having an M.D.
In the July 1 issue, the article “Brain Stimulation Promising in Resistant Depression” incorrectly stated that Cyberonics' vagus nerve stimulation device is approved for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. At that time it was approved only for the treatment of epilepsy. ▪
