APA/GlaxoSmithKline Fellowships Awarded to Ten Residents

APA has announced the names of the psychiatry residents selected to participate in the 2005-2007 APA/GlaxoSmithKline Fellowship, whose goal is to prepare future leaders in the field of psychiatry.
During the fellowship, the selected residents participate in the leadership structure of APA, attend APA's fall component meetings and annual meeting; receive training in leadership, advocacy, and media relations; tour outstanding psychiatry programs; and are mentored by a prominent psychiatrist.

Two APA/GlaxoSmithKline fellows were elected president and vice president by their peers to represent the fellowship on the APA Board of Trustees and the Joint Reference Committee. The president is Lara Fuchs, M.D., who is training at New York University, and the vice president is Ellen Edens, M.D., who is training at Washington University. ▪
