HAPA to Meet in Philadelphia

The Hellenic American Psychiatric Association (HAPA) will hold its 13th annual meeting in conjunction with APA’s 2012 annual meeting in Philadelphia on Tuesday, May 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The location has not yet been announced.
The meeting will feature a special presentation by Philip J. Candilis, M.D., an associate professor of psychiatry in the Law and Psychiatry Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. His lecture is titled “Physicians Caring for Physicians: Professionalism Among Us.” The meeting will be followed by an informally organized “Dutch treat” dinner at a local restaurant.
Those interested in attending the meeting and dinner must pay dues and register. A dues payment of $52 ($27 for members-in-training) should be sent to HAPA Treasurer George Fouras, M.D., 304 Los Palmos Drive, San Francisco, Calif. 94127 or made on the HAPA Web site using a credit card or PayPal account. Contributions are also welcomed since HAPA’s work is carried out completely by volunteers.
Those interested in registering for the meeting should send an e-mail to Maria Lymberis, M.D., HAPA founder and past president, at [email protected]. More information about the meeting and HAPA is posted at www.hellenic-psych.org.
