Abstract

Although a variety of methods for the treatment of school phobia has been proposed in the literature, most writers agree that returning the child to school as soon as possible is of primary importance. The authors discuss eight steps that they have found to be successful in helping the child return to school and helping his parents to keep him there. Case reports that illustrate the application of these steps in practice are also presented.
