In the article “Greater Availability of Brain Dopamine Transporters in Major Depression Shown by [99mTc]TRODAT-1 SPECT Imaging” by David J. Brunswick, Ph.D., et al. (October 2003; 160:1836–1841), the laboratory evaluation of the comparison subjects is described as “similar to that for the patients.” This does not apply to all comparison subjects. Thus, in the section “Comparison Subjects” on p. 1837, the third sentence should be changed to “Classification as a comparison subject in this extended group of 46 healthy subjects was based on an assessment that included medical, psychiatric, and occupational histories. It was confirmed with a physical examination, 12-lead ECG, and detailed neuropsychological testing that included a rating scale for anxiety and another for mood disorders. None of the comparison subjects had a significant medical illness or laboratory abnormality.”
